- The Megaplex-2100/2104 is available with an array of main link options.
- Full or fractional T1 access, with a maximum capacity of 5xT1 or 8 Mbps over copper or fiber. 1:1 protection switching guarantees 50 msec recoveries. Includes built-in programmable DS0 cross-connect.
- IP main link allows you to transport TDM traffic over an IP network, reducing access costs while preserving investment in legacy equipment.
- HDSL 4-wire copper uplink extends the transmission range over copper to 3 miles, supporting data rates up to 1.544 mbps.
- The Megaplex can be deployed in a ring topology for increased redundancy in the local loop.
- Self-healing T1 rings.
- Resilient Fast Ethernet Ring (RFER) technology provides Fast Ethernet networks with 50 msec self-healing protection.
- An array of I/O modules guarantees compatibility with multiple devices on your network, allowing you to use a single Megaplex for all your access needs.
- High Speed Data modules operate at speeds up to 2.048 mbps.
- Low Speed Data modules operate at 2.4 to 19.2 kbps, sync or async.
- T1 / Fractional T1 module.
- 3-16 channel PCM and ADPCM Voice or Fax modules.
- LAN router / bridge modules.
- The Megaplex is available in two chassis types:
- Megaplex-2100 – 4U high, 12 slots for both I/O and main link.
- Megaplex-2104 – 2U high, 5 slots for both I/O and main link.
- Optional redundancy in common logic and power supply modules, along with 1:1 protection on the main link modules protect your network from a single point of failure.
- SNMP management provides centralized management of all network nodes. Remote Megaplex units can be configured in-band, through Ethernet management port or via control port.
