- Using 1550nm single mode the FOM-T1 has a maximum range of 89 miles.
- The FOM-T1 is transparent to T1 framing.
- It can operate over single mode or multimode fiber using 850nm or 1300nm LEDs, 1300 nm laser diode or 1550 nm laser diode.
- ITU standard compliant with G.703 and G.955.
- For point-to-multipoint applications it is available in a card version with a managed rack.
- V.54 diagnostics for local and remote digital loopbacks.
- Relays major and minor alarms.
